Delete your account
Pulse Tuscaloosa and Pulse Venue · Skinner Investments LLC
You can ask us to delete your account and the information connected to it. You do not need an account to use Pulse Tuscaloosa, and you can make this request whether or not you still have the app installed.
Delete it in the app
This is the fastest way and it is immediate — nobody has to action it.
- Open Pulse Tuscaloosa and go to the Profile tab.
- Under the account panel, tap Delete account.
- Read what will be removed, then tap Permanently delete my account.
The account is gone at that point. The app keeps working — reporting a crowd has never needed an account.
If you cannot reach the app
If you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in, email sales@pulsetuscaloosa.com from the address on your account and we will do it for you. We ask you to write from the account address because that is how we confirm the request is yours; if you cannot reach that mailbox, write from any address and we will find another way to verify you first. We action those within 30 days and reply when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details, including your email address
- Your profile
- Your points, tier and streak history
- Any feature requests you sent us
- For Pulse Venue: your venue claim and your membership of a venue's team
What we keep, and why
Crowd reports are anonymised rather than removed. A report says that somebody at a venue saw it busy at a point in time. Other people relied on it, and venues' historical crowd levels are built from it, so deleting the reports themselves would rewrite a shared record. We sever the link to you: the report stays, the connection to your account does not.
We also keep records we are required to keep, such as administrative logs of changes made to venue listings, and anything needed to resolve a billing dispute with a sponsoring venue.
What was never stored in the first place
Your location. When the geo-fence is switched on, reporting a crowd sends your position so the server can check you are near the venue. It is compared and discarded in the same operation and never written to any table, so there is no location history attached to your account to delete.
Your favourites and app settings. These live on your phone, not on our servers. Deleting the app removes them.
See the Privacy Policy for the full account of what we collect, and Support for anything else.
